What We've Learned in our Geometry Unit so Far...

CG/SS- How to measure, name and identify angles
AA - we learned about the differences and similarities between pyramids and prisms
SK - we learned a lot of vocabulary for 3D and 2D shapes
PC - We learned what nets are, and what kind of shapes they make
AR - we learned that parallel lines never touch
MZ - we learned what the difference between regular and irregular shapes
AC - we learned how to sort polyhedrons and polygons in Venn Diagrams by their attributes
DK - we learned patterns to help us predict the number of vertices and edges on pyramids and prisms
VF - we learned different names for polygons and polyhedrons
NG - we learned how to name prisms and pyramids by their bases
AW - we learned how to sort shapes properly
KW - we learned how to measure angles with a protractor and create triangles with a protractor and a ruler
SC - we learned about lines of symmetry and what tools to use (paper folding, miras)
CG - we learned about different types of triangles
SK - we learned that although a two triangles have a similar angles, their other attributes may be different
SS - a polygon is a closed 2D shape
KW - we learned how to made skeletons with tooth picks
